1. Creating a Store
- Click Add Store.
- Fill in the Store Information.

Connect your Nexxtap Merchant ID to enable Tap to Pay.
- You can find this ID in your welcome email after your Nexxtap account is approved.
- If you don’t yet have an approved merchant account, please apply here.
- Set the Cash Register Limit to define the threshold for in-register cash. When exceeded, users will be prompted to perform a cash drop.
- Enter the Admin User Information.
- Note: Admin email must be unique across all stores.
2. User and Role Management
Managing Roles
- Navigate to Role Management.
- Click Add Role.
- Name the role and select a Role Type (Admin, POS, or KDS).
- Assign the relevant Permissions. These limit user access and functionality within the NexxPOS app and portal.
Creating Additional Users
- Go to User Management.
- Click Add User.
- Enter the user’s name, email, and password.
- Assign the appropriate Role(s). Optional: Enable Auto Logout.
- Set the duration before automatic logout for added security.
Review User Logs to see:
- Devices used
- Login timestamps
- IP location
3. Categories and Option Lists
Creating a Category
- Go to Category Management and click Add Category.
- Name the category and toggle it Active.
- (Optional) Add a Variant or Add-on list:
- Click Add Variant/Add-on.
- Name the attribute and select the type.
- Click Add Option to add individual entries, setting names and amounts.
- If the amount varies by product, leave it as 0.
- Click Create Category.
- Categories can also be created in bulk using CSV Upload.
Definitions:
- Variant = variation of a product (e.g. size, color)
- Add-on = additional item (e.g. toppings, extras)
4. Taxes
Creating a Tax
- Navigate to Tax Management.
- Click Add Tax.
- Name the tax and set the Rate.
- Choose whether tax is Included or Excluded from the listed price.
- Click Create Tax.
5. Products
Creating a Product
- Navigate to Product Management.
- Ensure any needed Categories or Taxes are set up first.
- Click Add Product.
- Enter:
- Product Name
- Base Price
- Optional Image (drag-and-drop or upload)
- Select a Category.
- If option lists are assigned to the category, they will appear automatically.
- Select applicable Taxes.
- To create a new Variant or Add-on list:
- Click Add Variant/Add-on.
- Name the attribute and select the type.
- Click Add Option, set names and amounts.
- Leave price as blank or “0” if there’s no price change.
- For multiple lists, use the pricing matrix below.
- Click Create Product.
Bulk Upload Products via CSV
Use the product_template.csv file. Supported fields:

Up to 4 option lists can be included.
Upload using the Import CSV function.
6. Discounts
Creating a Product Discount
- Navigate to Discount Management.
- Click Add Product Discount.
- Name the discount and choose the Type (Percentage or Fixed Amount).
- Enter the Discount Value.
- (Optional) Set:
- Maximum Order Amount (limits how much discount can apply)
- Daily Usage Limit (restricts how often the discount can be used per day)
7. Printer Management
Managing ESC/POS Printers
- Add printers via the side menu in-app.
- Manage printers in Printer Management on the portal.
- Enable/Disable/Delete using the associated buttons.
8. Option Presets
Creating Option Presets
- Navigate to Option Presets.
- Click Add Preset.
- Name the attribute and select the Type (Variant or Add-on).
- Click Add Option to add names and amounts.
- Leave amount as 0 if price varies per product.
Presets can then be assigned to product categories to standardise options like extras.
9. Terminal Master
Managing Terminals
- View devices registered to the store’s Merchant ID.
- Click Sync Terminals to refresh the list.
- Enable or disable terminals using the associated button.
- Each device displays a Terminal ID and device name used during activation.
10. Audit Logs
Viewing Changes
Access Audit Logs to see all changes made by users, including:
- Which user made the change
- What was modified
- When it occurred
